2. Data We Collect / Erhobene Daten

When you use Verselink, we collect:

  • Account data— When you sign in via Discord OAuth, we receive your Discord username, email address, avatar URL, and Discord user ID. We do not receive your Discord password.
  • User-generated data— Mining sessions, survey scans, crafting inventory, and other content you create within the app.
  • Session data— A session cookie is stored in your browser to keep you logged in.

We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies.

3. Legal Basis / Rechtsgrundlage

  • Art. 6(1)(a) DSGVO— Consent: You actively consent by clicking “Sign In with Discord” and authorizing the OAuth connection.
  • Art. 6(1)(b) DSGVO— Contract fulfillment: Processing is necessary to provide the service (e.g. storing your mining sessions).
  • Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO— Legitimate interest: Session cookies for authentication.

4. How We Use Your Data / Verwendungszweck

  • To authenticate your identity via Discord
  • To provide the service (storing your data, displaying your contributions)
  • To maintain session state (login cookies)

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

5. Third-Party Services / Drittanbieter

  • Discord(Discord Inc., USA) — OAuth authentication. Their Privacy Policy applies.
  • Convex(Convex Inc., USA) — Real-time database and backend. Your account data and user-generated content is stored on Convex servers.
  • Vercel(Vercel Inc., USA) — Web hosting and CDN.
  • UEX Corp API— Star Citizen game data. No personal data is shared with UEX.

Data may be transferred to the USA. These providers participate in standard contractual clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards per Art. 46 DSGVO.

6. Cookies

We use a single session cookie for authentication. This cookie is strictly necessary to keep you logged in and does not require consent under Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive.

No analytics, tracking, or third-party cookies are used.

7. Your Rights / Ihre Rechte (Art. 15–21 DSGVO)

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data (Art. 15)
  • Rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16)
  • Delete your data / right to be forgotten (Art. 17)
  • Restrict processing (Art. 18)
  • Data portability (Art. 20)
  • Object to processing (Art. 21)
  • Withdraw consentat any time (Art. 7(3)) — sign out and request deletion

Contact us at contact@verselink.app to exercise your rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Bremen: Die Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit der Freien Hansestadt Bremen).

8. Data Retention / Speicherdauer

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. When you delete your account or request deletion, all personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymous aggregated data (e.g. survey statistics) may be retained.

9. Changes / Änderungen

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
